Lake St. Clair is also one of our country's best
Small Mouth Bass lakes. Days of 40 to 50 fish are possible, with the largest exceeding
20" and with a few caught during the year over 5 lbs. Generally Small
Mouth
are easy to catch and great fun for kids and families.
COMBINATION TRIPS - MUSKIES AND SMALL MOUTH
Try a combination trip, one day for Muskies and the next for
Small Mouth, or 1/2 day for each. Smallies are scrappy and fun to catch and your trip will start with excitement. Then switch to
Muskies to catch bigger, meaner, and much more serious fish.
SPRING
Weather permitting, troll for Salmon,
Steelhead and Browns
in early April along the shore and sand bars on lower Lake Huron. Then vertical
jig and troll for Walleyes in April, May and June on the St. Clair and Detroit
Rivers and Lake Erie.
SUMMER
Fish for scrappy Small
Mouth Bass and Perch in Lake St. Clair
and for Walleyes in the St. Clair River in June, July and August.
FALL
Troll for late season trophy
Muskies or still fish for big
Yellow Belly Perch in October, November and weather permitting, early December.
